Company for couples: a third chair for two guests in town
Two guests, one hotel room, a free evening in a city neither of you knows well. The couples arrangement adds a companion who is good company for both of you: someone to share the table, point you to the better bar two streets over, and keep an anniversary trip or a long weekend feeling like an occasion.
It runs on the ordinary ladder on the rates board, from £250 for one hour, and it is one companion's fee however many guests are present. Dinner and a show on the four hour line is £900. A 25 percent transfer secures the evening at a hotel or residence, and no fare is added anywhere in Zones 1 and 2.

A decision made by both of you
The desk wants the booking to be a shared idea, never a surprise. Whichever of you writes, say that you are booking as a couple and describe the evening you both have in mind. The usual checks follow: the full name the room is booked under, the hotel and the room number. If anything suggests one of you has not agreed, the desk does not confirm.

West End nights, City weekends
The West End is the classic couples booking: curtain up at half past seven, supper once the crowds have gone, a short walk back through streets that stay lit. The City of London suits a different couple: a weekend in a quiet tower hotel, empty lanes on Saturday, and a companion who knows the rooftop views and the pubs that keep serving after the offices shut.
Choosing her together
Look through the line-up side by side and send two or three names you both like, or sketch the evening in a line and leave the choice to the desk. For couples, warmth and conversation matter more than anything else, so the desk leans towards women who are relaxed with new people and give both guests equal attention from the first hello.

A few simple habits make the evening work. Agree the plan between you before writing to the desk. Keep the conversation open to all three people. Settle restaurant and bar bills as the hosts. Her fee covers time and company for both of you, and nothing beyond that forms part of any couples booking, whatever the evening.
Which length suits two guests
One hour is a drink in the hotel bar, enough to find out whether the three of you get on. Two hours, £500, turns that drink into a proper evening in. Three hours, £700, fits an early show or a slow round of Soho bars with time to sit down afterwards. For anything with a table in it, the four hour dinner date is the line to pick. A weekend visit can also be split into two shorter evenings instead of one long one, so the second begins where the first left off.
Airport stays and changed plans
Couples at Heathrow or Gatwick hotels follow the airport minimum: three hours, which include her ride out. Wherever you stay, a cancellation 3 or more hours ahead is free, while one in the last 2 hours costs 50 percent. Running late? She allows a quarter of an hour.
