Night out company: bars, music and the walk back to the hotel
22:30. The meeting is done, the hotel bar is half empty, and Soho is a ten minute walk away. The night out arrangement puts a companion beside you for exactly that moment: someone who knows where the music is good tonight, which door has no queue and when it is time to head back.
It runs on the hourly ladder of the rates board: £250 buys the first hour. Most nights out are booked for two or three hours, £500 or £700, and her ride within Zones 1 and 2 costs nothing on top. Drinks and entry are yours to cover as host. A quarter of the fee, transferred in advance, confirms it.

Where the night usually goes
Soho and the wider West End take most of these bookings: a late jazz set on Frith Street, a basement cocktail bar off Dean Street, a comedy club a minute from Piccadilly Circus, a hotel bar that keeps pouring past midnight. City nights run smaller and higher up. Bars at the top of the towers, a pub under the painted roof of Leadenhall Market, and then the streets of the City of London go completely silent.
A plan, or no plan at all
Send an outline or send nothing. Music, not too loud, back by one: that is a complete brief. She suggests a route, knows which bars justify the walk, and changes course if a room is packed. Already holding tickets or a table? Send the details and she meets you there, or in your lobby first.
Start and finish at the hotel
Most nights out begin in your hotel lobby or bar. It gives you both a quiet first drink, and it means the evening ends where it started, with no hunt for a taxi at two in the morning. As the booked time nears its end, she walks you back to the entrance. If you want more time, decide while some is still left, and the booking steps up a line if her diary allows.
Dress and pace
Tell the desk the kind of night. A cocktail bar with a strict door, a jazz club, a loud room with a DJ: she dresses for the one you describe and wears shoes that can walk between them. She matches your pace, not the other way round. One more round is always your call, and so is calling it a night.
Staying on the right side of the evening
A good night out has an edge of noise and no mess. She keeps an eye on the time, the route home and the state of the queue at the next door, so you do not have to. She drinks at her own pace, orders water between rounds without comment, and steers the evening towards a quieter room when a bar turns rowdy. Early start tomorrow? Put it in your opening message, and she will be the one who suggests the last drink while it is still a good idea.
Companions who come alive after ten
Molly lives in Soho, loves house music and has a mezcal order ready for the first bar. Stacy will steer you to The Comedy Store for the late show and retell the best set better on the walk home. Jasmin sniffs out a Latin night if one exists and shows you the basic step on the pavement outside. Angelika wants a small table for the late show at Ronnie Scott's and will dispute your score for the drummer. All four sit on the early twenties list.
After midnight
The desk reads messages all night, so a night out requested at 23:00 is still confirmed within 15 minutes. Arrival windows hold: 30 to 45 minutes into the West End from confirmation, 40 to 60 into the City. Empty roads after midnight often beat both figures. When the last bar closes, she says goodnight at your hotel door or joins you for a final drink in the lounge while the booked time lasts.
Late changes
She gives the meeting time 15 minutes; past that, the desk rebooks the start. No charge for cancelling with 3 or more hours to spare.
