You will see her before she sees you. Violetta is 178 cm, tall and slender, with sleek black hair falling perfectly straight and brown eyes that give away nothing she has not decided to share. Her style has a desert gold edge even in a London winter: a long black coat, a gold cuff, a silk shirt the colour of sand. Early thirties, living in Belgravia, elegant from a distance and even more so up close. She moves slowly, on purpose, and people make room. Heels are optional at her height, and she wears them anyway.
Mysterious, but not remote. Violetta is confident enough to let silences sit and funny enough to break them at exactly the right moment, usually with a line so dry it lands a beat late. How a night with Violetta unfolds
Violetta's evenings are long and low key, and they get better as they go. She likes to meet late, around nine, somewhere with good light for reading a menu. Dinner is two courses and a conversation that begins politely and becomes very funny about halfway through the main, usually when she decides you can take her sense of humour. She orders the thing nobody else is ordering and is almost always right.
Afterwards, a short walk and a comedy club if there is a good late set, or straight back to the hotel if not. In the room she tells you about the strangest book she ever bought, curls into the reading chair, and lets the conversation run until the end of the booking without once looking at a clock.
