About Cindy

  • Slim, 168 cm
  • Blue eyes, blonde waves
  • Mid twenties, lives in Chelsea
  • Sails, shoots photographs, practises yoga

05:40. The first long-haul arrivals are stacking up over west London, and Cindy has been awake for an hour, because early light is too good to sleep through. Slim at 168 cm, blue eyed, blonde waves falling long past her shoulders, she has the look of someone who spends weekends near water. Clothes stay relaxed but sharp: a white shirt, tailored trousers, trainers swapped for heels at the hotel door. Mid twenties, Chelsea based, cheerful before coffee and just as cheerful after midnight.

Easygoing is not an act. Cindy laughs quickly, forgives delayed flights instantly and treats a changed plan as simply a new plan. Yoga keeps her calm. Sailing gives her colour on the cheekbones and a vocabulary of knots she will demonstrate with a napkin. Photography is the real passion, mostly light and shadow, occasionally strangers' shoes on escalators. She speaks English, openly and without filler, and she is the rare companion who asks what you actually want from a stopover rather than guessing.

Heathrow suits her more than people expect. Book a room at the Renaissance London Heathrow on the Bath Road, where the windows facing the northern runway turn arriving aircraft into a slow show behind glass. She sets her camera on the sill and times the heavy jets while room service finds its way up. The airport rule applies, three hours minimum including travel, and she spends them well: a proper meal, a long talk, a quiet stretch before your early call. Nobody leaves hungry or hurried.

Airport visits live on the Heathrow page, terminal notes included. Plan a day ahead where you can, then send your landing time through booking.

Evening plan

How a night with Cindy unfolds

Cindy's favourite airport evening starts with a timetable. Send her your landing slot and she works backwards: when you clear passport control, how long the walk to the hotel takes, whether you will want food or a shower first. She arrives after the shower. The first hour is dinner at a table by the window, with her naming every airline tail that taxis past and inventing stories about the passengers inside.

Later, the curtains stay open. She likes runway lights more than any skyline, and she frames them through the glass while you describe the last city you left and the next one waiting for you. When the three hours are up she leaves on time, pleased with one good frame of a jet lifting into the dark and nothing else on the memory card.

FAQ 03

Asked of Cindy

3 questions guests tend to ask, answered by Cindy.

Because nobody expects it to be charming. At night the runways are beautiful, and travellers are wonderfully honest. Everyone is between two lives for a few hours.

A small one, for the view only. It never points at a guest, and it stays zipped in my bag if you would rather not see it at all.

Shower, order some water and tell the desk if you need to sleep by a certain hour. I will plan the whole visit around that.

Cindy, by the hour

Heathrow hotels are planned bookings: three hours minimum, with Cindy's travel counted inside that time and priced in full before anything is agreed. In town she prefers afternoons and early evenings.

Hotel and residence visits are held with 25 percent up front, paid by bank transfer; overnights and travel are held with 50 percent. Zones 1 and 2 travel is already in the figure.
